I was there too. They were both great! I'd never seen Euan before and was really impressed with his vocals, especially his last piece. He ended with "American Tune"...a capella. Twas brilliant. He had so much personality and stage presence (a bit of a comedian too). I felt like Eden didnt really get going until the third song or so. I guess she was nervous, but it was her first concert. I really loved her version of "I Don't Know How To Love Him" from Jesus Christ Superstar. Overall, she was amazing. She really showed a wider range of talent than just BKLN and Wicked, though I almost liked her "Defying Gravity" better than Idina's.
BUT, I was sitting next to some teenage Brooklyn groupies- ew! Every mention of Wicked or BKLYN was followed by obnoxious screams. In my ear. I bet they were surprised to see her NOT belt her brains out the entire time. I just wanted to hit them, really hard. I'm proud of my self-control.
I was there too. I thought that Euan's set was actually kind of bland - he has a great voice and fun personality, but he needed more direction and a better musical team to make it more exciting - it was very vanilla. On the other hand, Eden was amazing and truly exciting - great set of songs, fantastic band, and she seemed so comfortable up there - and it was her first concert ever!
Songs List: Something's Coming (West Side Story) Don't Cry For Me, Argentina (Evita) Summertime (Porgy and Bess) Some Enchanted Evening (South Pacific) It's Alright With Me (Can Can) Losing My Mind (Follies) I Don't Know How To Love Him (Jesus Christ Superstar) I'll Never Fall In Love Again (Promises, Promises) Defying Gravity (Wicked) Imagine (Lennon) The Boy From ... (Side By Side - By Sondhiem) Brooklyn Medley (Brooklyn, The Musical) And I Will Follow (By Jason Robert Brown)
Apparently that's her set list. GOD I would DIE to hear her sing "Don't Cry for Me argentina", "Losing my mind" and "summertime"!
I was in Row P, Tiny-Toon. If I knew what you looked like, I probably could say I saw you.
Euan's set wasn't thrilling, but it wasn't boring either. It was just kind of there. He has an adorable personality but his set never seemed to get going.
Eden's set was good. "Don't Cry For Me, Argentina" really didn't fit into the theme of her show. Other than that, her song selection was quite good. It was nice to hear her sing songs that didn't require her to belt, scream, screech, whatever, at the end. She truly has a beautiful voice and that voice was put to good use last night.
As I was leaving, though, many of the geriatrics, who were there not for her or Euan, but simply to be there, were bellyaching about the performances. But you can't please those old people. You really can't.

i was there too. i went with my boyfriend and he isn't a huge broadway freak like i am, but he loved it! he was blown away by eden, as i was. euan was good too, but eden's performance was amazing.
Hehe, first time I heard of Ew Brooklyn Groupies. Usually it is just Wicked Groupies that people don't like.

I'm probably being too critical of them. Sorry for mis-naming them, they were really Eden groupies. I was just bothered by their screaming and obvious boredom until she sang those songs from Wicked and BKLYN. And the girl sitting next to be was dancing/mouthing the words/singing softly[badly] during Once Upon A Time. eh,I probably shouldnt complain. The show was great. *slaps self*
i was there as well and was there to support the scottish boy named Euan Morton. But after a little bit into her set, I absolutely began to love Eden. Her set list was so great and had many of my favorite songs, as did Euan's list. She had such a great voice, her Defying Gravity was just so gorgeous. Euan Moron oh wait Morton lol, is one that never dissapoints. His talk amongest yourselves was breathtaking as was As Long as He needs Me. He was so great and was extra funny that night. I ended up sitting in the front row on the side next to my friend and her mom, and we got to be "the luck be a lady" girls when he pointed. Ah it was such a great night hanging out with everyone and seeing this show. It was an awesome time!

yea Talk Amongest Yourselves was phemonial. Um there were really no pictures taken of Euan. I think people were afraid to try and take them since he did go on first. But i do have a picture of me and euan which is my new avatar.
