Unbelievable! Have you ever heard of a true film star actually writing and responding to an unknown playwright? It did happen. Years ago I wrote to Eli Wallach. I sent him a play and he responded with a one-page letter. I should have kept the letter. Big mistake. In an industry that is closed off and gated to new people, Eli is the only famous person, a movie star, I have ever heard of who would actually respond to a letter from a nobody. Credit to Eli. He was a special person.
