A friend of mine that works for a NYC based producer tells me Cynthia Nixon has signed on for an upcoming Broadway revival of a musical for next season... but he won't tell me what! Any body have an idea? I think she's great.
I heard her sing at The Public Sings! concert last year in what I believe was her professional singing debut (she had just started taking lessons for the first time in her life not long before). All I can say is, unless she's playing Kristine in ACL, they'd better be selling earplugs at the concessions stand.

I love Cynthia Nixon (mostly, yes, for playing Miranda on Sex and the City), but I have never heard her sing, so I will take your word for it Margo! Hmmm, is she old enough to play Joanne?
They're doing a revival of Souvenir already? I'm THERE!
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
-John Guare, Landscape of the Body
She sang a lullaby on Sex and the City and sounded ok.
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".
