Yes, it was a beautiful performance. Having attended the invited dress rehearsal that they had for 9/11 family members for the Broadway run back before previews started and then getting to be there tonight was a really unique full circle moment, made all the more surreal by the fact that upon stepping out the doors after the performance, I could just walk right across the street and visit with my dad's spot on the memorial. The band and cast all sounded fantastic, and there seemed to be a special level of connection between the cast and audience tonight (and as CLC3 mentioned, there were moments when even the cast was in tears). I feel really grateful to have had the chance to be there tonight.
