So I learn today from his Instagram Story that Dudney did both the Off Broadway and Broadway run still doing his day job and (from my recollection) never missed a performance of the Broadway run?

Yup. Him and Junior never missed a show. (Nor did Ken Ard, but he swung out midshow twice toward the end). He had time off planned coming up but the show closed before it came around.

He mentioned that his job wasn’t as flexible during the off-Broadway run (which he also never missed), but he mentioned this time around that they were more permissive with leaves of absence as needed (probably rehearsals and whatnot), but then got back into the swing and rhythm of it by opening.
