Does anyone know where I can find the planned absence dates for the replacement cast?

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I've seen this production twice on the West End. I was able to catch Maude/Mason last year and Layton/Rhea a few weeks ago. I have no idea if it'll be running next time I make it to London, so I'm debating trying to squeeze in a visit to see the Broadway production in March, which is when I'm planning my trip to see Gypsy... It looks like Adam/Auliʻi are slated to be there the week I'm aiming for, but has there been any word of Bebe exiting?

There hasn't been any word yet about the length of her contract. I think it'd be safe to assume she's contracted for a year, which means next March could be iffy.

I cannot imagine any replacement signed a 12 month contract here. If casting in NY is anything like it has been in London, I would say the leads will exit after 3-6 months.

They're talking about Bebe. Tickets are on sale until March 29, which is the end of 12 months since the first preview. If Bebe is contracted for a year, that'll be her departure date. As for the leads, they're probably contracted until that date, as well, which would be just over 6 months for them. For above-the-title stars, the assumption is that they won't sell tickets beyond the end of their contracts without notifying buyers of a cast change, like they did with Eddie and Gayle.

Thanks for this! Sally Ann Triplet as Schneider was the highlight of the current West End cast for me and kind of stole the show, so if Bebe is still there, it'd be a huge draw for me. I didn't realize it'll already be coming up to a year already this March!  Could have sworn the show barely started in May/June.

First preview was Monday, April 1, 2023, so Sunday, March 29, 2024, will be exactly 1 year.

I saw this tonight.

Steven Skybell is excellent.

Bebe Neuwirth's "What Would You Do" is one of the greatest moments I have ever seen.

Tickets are on sale through March.  It’s so weird to me that they don’t do Sunday matinees.  Isn’t that the biggest moneymaker?

Please help me choose seats: center front row (D) of Orch, available on both sides,  or center front  row of mezz , available on both  sides. I just heard a snippet of AL, and though I did not care for this in London, he’s making me want to see it again.

It's the wig for me. It's definitely a... choice.
