Hey Im a mexican guy that lived in australia the last year. They have so many good adaptations from broadway shows there. The Lion King in Sydney and The Producers just shot down in Melbourne. However they made a new play called Eureka!!! about the Gold Rush in Australia. It is really good, kind of like Les Mis. But what called my attention is that they mention in the book "We wanted to produce something big that maybe we can share someday with Broadway as they have shared their shows with us".
Here in Mexico after so many decades of lame musicals, they are bringing shows like Les Mis, Rent, Phantom, Fiddler on the Roof, Jesus Crhist Superstar, Man of la Mancha, Joseph, Beauty and the Beast, soon Miss Saigon, and Chicago (whos mexican version of Roxie is now touring USA and was headliner of the NYC version for some time).
I guess what Im trying to say is that I would like to thank the Broadway community for giving this stuff, not only in Broadway. What you do has a cultural effect on the world! U are very lucky. Here in Mexico we have 2 big shows every year and that is a lot for us! So keep doing what you are doing, cause the whole world is watching!
