Broadway Grosses: Week Ending 9/13/26

Broadway Week 2-for-1 offers affecting these numbers. Expect the total gross to keep lowering until Columbus Day weekend.

HAMILTON with a solid jump for the first week of Christopher Jackson's return, although not as big as I assumed it would be.

TITANIQUE is having itself an okay final month. Decent near-closing bump.

Not a terrible start for SCHOOL GIRLS.

Happy trails to Meg Stalter, Chrissy Metz, and Ben Jackson Walker.

Chicago being the only show to play to capacity last week is wiiiiiiild. I don't even know who Reece Weaver is, but she seems to have an audience!

Not shocked at Chicago in the least - Reece has her own following, then you throw in an army of girls who all have THEIR own following and it's generating alot of social media coverage and press.

I'm delighted for them, but why the uptick for Stranger Things?

They’re closing in January. This is the last chance for people to probably buy tickets at a decent discount before the Halloween/End of Run surge.

Also, in a world where the Broadway economy remains uncertain and messy, OPERATION MINCEMEAT barely wavering at all and holding steady is like a light in the dark.

It was down 140k this week, and hasn't returned any money to investors yet. Yes, it is continuing to run, but "holding steady" seems like a stretch. It is more a boat that is very slowly taking on water.

In this case, it seem the Weisslers made a positive choice. I'm not familiar with the newest Roxie, but she is helping to bring in people into the Ambassador. As much as some people like to criticize "unconventional casting", it works sometimes. I am curious as to how well she is doing with the singing and dancing. .

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

Hell yeah to Titanique being one of the top grossing shows this week.

Bon voyage to the ship of dreams this weekend, I personally will miss it a lot.

Well... the shows that have generally been discussed as potential closures in the last few months have basically all announced that they are, in fact, closing in the near future.

No one calls for shows to close. They speculate on when money losing shows will close.
