Broadway Filled D23 Opening + a Death Becomes Her Joke!

Let this be the end of NPH hosting things. This thing was embarrassing not only for lack of content, but also for the crime of being painfully unfunny. The opening was passable and quickly went down from there. No one looked or appeared rehearsed at all. Hilty got saddled with a second rate Randy Newman number (oof!) and Glenn Close messed up some lines creating some big confusion about a Cruella ride. I hope the performers except for NPH are dusting this off and laughing all the way to the bank. I was embarrassed for them.

What “big confusion” did Close cause, exactly? She was there to hype up the Villains Land. The bit was referencing the Maleficent ride and how she (Cruella) deserves one too. Whether that comes to fruition or not, we’ll see. They only officially announced two attractions for the Land. Close was fine.

There’s also no real confusion because next to nothing was actually announced this year other than, “we’re still working on the things we announced last time!”
