Momma Rose! Can anyone else picture it..... lol i don't know if i am being serious or not but i am listening to Funny Girl (yes i am just that gay) and the idea just popped in my head...

I even wonder if she will be appearing as Actress in any more films. Director, Yes, But maybe not Actress. That said, She can always run for Mayor now and beat Arnie.

However, it was not a TV version that she was approached to do it was a feature film remake and she was seriously considering it until Bette made the TV version. Too bad because I have always thought she would be the BEST Mama Rose ever. [My second choice: Patti LuPone]. Liza would have been wonderful, too, in her prime.
