The truth is people dont realize how versatile her voice actually is! she is perfect for the part vocally. its great for her range, which caroline or change failed to even showcase. this is the most exciting casting i have heard yet!
P.S. I would absolutely take ramona over anika for this part though! ramona is lorrel! bottom line!

But alas, I know I'm just dreaming...The above pic is of Countess and I couldn't resist throwing in some Jennifer.
Not sure if you've heard Countess sing, but wow...the girl has some powerful pipes.
I also just had an idea...if the movie was made in the late 80's Vanessa Williams would have a made a gr8 Deena and La Holliday could have still been Effie. Ah well...I Still can't wait to see the movie. I'm Just glad it's being made.
