Lincoln Center has announced its 2026-27 Broadway season at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre:
A first Broadway revival of A Few Good Men, starring Bradley Whitford and Tom Blyth, begins previews October 8 and opens on October 29, for a limited run through January 10.
A second Broadway revival of The Sound of Music, starring Jasmine Amy Rogers, begins previews March 23 and officially opens on April 15; the limited run concludes on July 18.

I think Dreamgirls is no longer happening this season…a lot of investors walked out of the last workshop including LaChanze

Jennifer Hudson joined as a producer, so I think it still happens. Hopefully, it's not that God-awful tour that was put up from 7-8 years ago.

Dolly: A True Original Musical, with a score by Dolly Parton, begins previews December 7 and opens January 19 at the St. James Theatre.

THE WARRIORS needs to be added to this list of new musicals. Opens this spring. And my bets? Look out for THE HEART to transfer after a buzzy run in La Jolla, with another Roundabout run scheduled Off-Bway this fall....and BEGIN AGAIN which garnered a lot of excitement after a very successful workshop in NYC a few months ago, now heading to The Old Globe this fall.

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced its 2026-27 Broadway season at the Todd Haimes Theatre:
The Imaginary Invalid, starring Bill Irwin, begins previews September 25, opens on October 22, and runs through November 22.
The world-premiere play Mix and Master, starring Kara Young and Ruben Santiago-Hudson, starts previews January 5, officially opens on January 27, and concludes its limited run on February 28.
A first Broadway revival of The Full Monty starts previews April 3, opens on April 25, and runs through June 20.

The Prince musical Purple Rain begins previews March 12 and officially opens on April 12 at the Majestic Theatre.

For everyone who acted like Broadway was coming to an end because of only 6 new musicals in the 2025-26 season, there are already six announced new musicals for 2026-27 with more to come for sure...

Well yes, theatrical tax credit have increased for 2027 and producers enjoy tax write off benefits if a show flops. NYS taxpayers are picking up the bill, as always. Take away all that and Broadway will become destitute.

John Mulaney will be bringing his current standup tour to Manhattan over 9 evenings at 9 different venues, including Broadways Music Box Theatre on January 11th, 2027.

Ken Davenport keeps posting about his Griswolds Broadway Vacation musical.
Is that one a near-definite thing for this season? He’s been around long enough that even HE would be a little delusional to be posting this much without at least a very good chance of getting a Bway house.
