New Slam Frank ad inspired by the Paddington musical

I have many thoughts about Slam Frank, and believe it falls way more in the category of trolling that parody/satire/etc, and I do not find it artful to simply shock. But others feel differently. That said, The entire existence of Paddington is completely based on the kindertransport: "Paddington Bear's iconic arrival is rooted in the tragic history of the Kindertransport. Creator Michael Bond modeled Paddington’s situation on the thousands of mostly Jewish refugee children who fled Nazi-controlled Europe for the UK in the late 1930s. These children arrived at British train stations carrying small suitcases and wearing identification tags around their necks."

To me, the Slam Frank ad, in believing its clever, speaks to how little the creators know or understand history, and are inversely confident in the points they are making.

i had plans to see the show -- i'm good with edgy -- but i their found their socials repulsive. i'm not sure i agree with your premise that one has to have seen a show to criticize its socials. or with your premise that the only options are safe/bland or repulsive.

So quite literally none of you have seen it. also what part of their socials has been repulsive (minus one deleted post)? it's been edgy but intelligent.

are you going to add anything to the conversation, or just debate semantics while dismissing a show you admit you haven't seen because its social media offended you? can you point to a specific post and explain what was actually offensive about it, or is it possible that what you’re objecting to is actually what’s being satirized? as for the other commenter, suggesting it's like dumber South Park is a pretty superficial understanding of what that show is actually doing and the brilliance of it. and "try hard" isn't even a criticism, so much as a vague dismissal.

Seems to me we're both discussing Slam Frank. I've directly responded to your exact comments, there's no other conversation going on.
