I would argue that those two assh*les did equal damage. If Reidel weren’t already a miserable, self-important bag of pus, I’d wish that for him.

The Producers — at least while the original cast was there.
Springsteen on Broadway.
But to your point — and given that theatre’s size, not really.
And this is the third time Sunset has played Broadway — and thus will have a star not really known outside certain circles.

I’ll be there at the first preview — so excited! But, man, is that chandelier underwhelming after what hung there for 35 years.

She’s denied it, but even this production’s lead denied she was doing it until…she confirmed.

That Mendez laughs at this rather than just speaks to understanding the disappointment of folks who paid for airfare, hotel, and (most expensive) tickets is actually kind of gross."
Get a life."
Oh, the irony!

I hope that’s a joke. The NY theatre community has a crazy and ample amount of talented singers and performers who can play Herbie. I can already feel the sparks between Audra and Danny. Or Audra and Norbert. But Paul? I’ll be disappointed."
Yeah, it would be a shame if the Herbie of this revival didn’t live

BEN PLATT: LIVE AT THE PALACE Thread Jun 1

Can you imagine spending hundreds of dollars on tickets, hauling it to NY to see this thing and, instead of Odom, you get Noah?
That Platt thinks we’re as interested in his love life as he is only serves to underscore his detachment from reality.

I’ll bet Judy comes back tonight and says a few more things to La Platt."
Why did you have to torture us Ben with this rendition!?
BW reviewer AA Christi seriously? Ben Electrifies with Cabaret classic? BW needs to find a better reviewers that have a clue."
If that’s what calls for use of the term electrocution, no wonder I’m (pause for a Beatrice Arthur beat) shocked.
That song is from the story of someone who has really lived. And lost. A lot. And has no self-esteem left. Platt has TOO MUCH self esteem. Perhaps this is why there seems to be no connection to the song? He doesn’t understand it?
Also:
WHY IS HE WEARING THAT THING?????

In a musical play you have a storyline, sets, characters, and a score that suits the story.
In a solo concert style show you’re getting the artist and their personality, their personal dialogue as well as material usually written by them or material that expresses THEIR narrative.
