Deperately seeking "Tina's Mother" Oct 5
2006, 04:34:11 PM
Help me PLEASE!!! I'm in desperate need of sheet music for a song from "Ruthless, The Musical" called "Tina's mother". While several of the songs from this show are in print for some reason I can't find this song anywhere. The complete score is even hard to get. Can anyone please point me in the direction of this song. I will be hopelessly and forever indebted to you.

Try Sara Lee from The World Goes Round It's funny and also gives you a chance to show more of your vocal abilities than most comic songs allow.

On Rosie O'Donnell's blog today there is a very ambiguous post that seems to imply she's purchasing the Helen Hayes theater? Is this true? http://www.rosie.com/

Hey you created a new oxymoron. Actor smarts. I like how you think and I am friends with the director and the producer so maybe it would be a good opportunity to take a chance. Thanks again for your help. What are your thoughts on auditioning with music from the show itself? I was thinking of audtioning with the opening number from Johnny Guitar. Most productions, I think, have a woman sing this, but sometimes it's done by a man.

Wow, thanks for the suggestions!! Enachanted Hunter you have me really intrigued by "Destry Rides Again", but I think sheet music may be hard to find. So far I've found nothing on the internet. Any ideas. As for the "Raw Hide" suggestions no doubt it would be a hoot to walk into an auditon and sing that, but do you think it's appropriated to sing something not from a musical?

Audition help Jan 30

Ok all of you out there with encyclopedic knowledge of everything Broadway. I need help picking an audition piece. The show I'll be audtioning for "Johnny Guitar the Musical" The music reminds me of spaghetti western. Western in a poperatic kind of way. So far the best I can come up with is 'They Call the Wind Mariah" from "Paint Your Wagon". This is very stylistically close to the music of Johnny Guitar, but it's not a great audition piece. Any help would be appreci

A Theater group here in Houston will be doing it. A friend of mine is directing. I'm thinking if I get cast it will be in the trio and the quartet, which would be great.

Does anyone know where I can get a story outline of the off Broadway musical "Johnny Guitar, The musical"? The official website has only a brief synopsis. I'm looking for a more detailed version of the story so I'll know what part I may be right for.

The Alley Theater here in Houston is doing a Ken Ludwig play this season starring Dixie Carter and Hal Holbrook. Apparently there demands drove the producers crazy. Their contract even calls for a certain amout of square footage for their housing and it must have a pool. All this for a play that is from what I have heard about it, not very good. http://www.alleytheatre.org/Alley/Be_My_Baby_EN.asp?SnID=92443102

Have you thought about renting the DVD of the concert version? It even has Patti Lupone. I rented it through Blockbuster. I enjoyed it more than the staged version.

Here you go http://www.theatreport.com/ This is a sight for both professional and non professional theatres. I currently live in Houston and have lived in Austin. Professional Houston theaters The Alley (Tony award best regional theater) http://www.alleytheatre.org/alley/Default_EN.asp Theater Under the Stars (musicals) http://www.tuts.com/ Stages repertory theater http://www.stagestheatre.com/home/ (occasional musicals, mostly plays) Theater Lab Houston (non equity) http://www.theaterlabhouston.com/theater_lab_facts.htm In Austin try The Zachary Scott Theater. This is actually a venue that houses or hosts different companies. I hope this helps
