in the original production of wicked, he was "swing: wizard/killamond u/s" (which i saw him in) and then this past week i was in florida and i saw a musical called "heaven help us" basically a review of rat pack songs and he was in it in a lead role. he's so talented! it's so amazing how even every chorus member is so talented on their own but you'd usually never know it. he did all these impersonations. it was great and really cool to see him getting a starring role - even if it's not on broadway

a lot of the chorus members are extremely talented. otherwise, why would they be on broadway? i think that from being a chorus member you learn a lot. i was a chorus member in many shows that i have done, and i have learned so much about the business.
"People asking questions, lost in confusion. Well I tell them there's no problems, only solutions."
~The one and only John Lennon
i was at a program once and the director asked if anyone could explain what a chorus member was. One little girl raised her hand and said "they're the people in the background." The back of every teacher in that room went up. The director retorted with "Not background, backbone!" - that really is the right way to look at it!!!
"Nothing is an accident, We are free to have it all, We are what we want to be, It's in ourselves to rise or fall!!" - "Fortune Favors the Brave" from Aida - the love that never died
Eddie is from my hometown and I'm in a community theater production directed by his former piano and voice teacher. He is like a legend here in Shamokin PA...everyone says he is amazing. It's refresing to see that people from small towns can make it big!
"Acting is a masochistic form of exhibitionism. It is not quite the occupation of an adult."
-Sir Laurence Olivier
Eddie's life partner was one of my teachers at AMDA, and had Eddie come in and talk to our class one day. While I was a big fan of the real teacher, Eddie was brilliant. He offered a lot of insight as to always being a working actor. Not only is he talented but seems to be a very generous person. He does a lot of voice over work on children's cartoon shows as well as theatre. I was truly impressed by him. However I never saw him in Wicked.
Eddie Korbich has played major roles in Broadway shows - I remember him vividly as Mr. Snow in Carousel a few years back. But like everyone else, he has bills to pay so he takes swing/understudy jobs when nothing else beckons. You shouldn't be surprised at how talented he is - he's proved that time and again.
