Go to www.broadwayjr.com. It comes with a whole kit (scripts, full-orchestra cds and more). Their selections are great. BESIDES THE ONES THERE, THERE ARE: Peter Pan Music Man Wicked (after the script comes out) Rodger and Hammerstiens Cinderella Sound Of Music Little Shop (plant will be hard to make) The Wiz Updated On: 7/14/04 at 08:29 PM
I did Grease when I was 10. We cut out A LOT. Please don't do Grease for little kids; it ruins the show. Once on This Island could be pulled off with kids.
FF, ienjoybeingagirl3 said she/he was gonna work with teenagers. I did Grease when I was 13 and LSOH when I was 14 and have seen plenty of high schools and middle schools do Into the Woods (both real and jr. versions). As for Forum, I had a friend who did it in the 6th grade. I was gonna put Chorusline down too, but that's a bit raunchy for more conservative taste buds. Plus, those kids better DANCE.
Isn't "Kidz Bop" that CD that takes songs from the radio, edits them, and then re-dubs them over with children? I hate those stupid commercials (they interupt Degrassi!)
little shop and children... not perfect together particularly the nitrus inhaling, girlfriend beating sadist of a dentist

I'd do Little Shop. Its fun, has great songs, great characters, and a great script. And if you can rent a plant, then dont even hesitate to not do it. The only thing is you might have to add a chorus and a few lines for small roles you can make up (even though its illegal. But you wont get caught so dont worry.)
I still think that it wouldn't work for Forum or Into the Woods. And that's not completely about content. Sondheim is tricky stuff. Little kids wouldn't be able to do it, and I would question the ability of several teens as well. But some of the other suggestions are good.
