hey--i am a student at HB Studio...and have the card that says that i am, etc... is this card legitimate to get a student discount ticket? it's not from a 'university' and it doesn't have a photo on it or anything...
not looking for a critique of the studio or anything, since i am sure a lot of you have expert opinions, but just any thoughts or experiences with Student Rush...

I guess sometimes it depends on the theatre...a lot of times, they won't even ask to see the ID (I'll have it in hand, but when I ask if they have any student tix available, they'll just check and say "that'll be $26.50," or whatever)...but I've also run across theatres that are really picky. My ID is also a debit card for the school (for students that have a meal plan, put $ on for laundry, etc) and I've had a couple give me a hard time about that (even though it says the school's name and has my photo on it). I think if they question you and you explain yourself (and maybe have another photo ID, like a driver's license or something that has your name on it as well) you should be fine! Good luck!!!
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)
At the palace I sat next to a woman who was at least 60 in the student tickets row. She said she took cooking classes through her town and had a certificate to prove it. The theater apparently had no problem giving her student tickets.
I've wondered this too...I don't have a school ID...my high school doesn't do those but are there other ways to prove I'm a student? Report Card?...LoL.
