"Smart! And into all those exotic mystiques -- The Kama Sutra and Chinese techniques. I hear she knows more than seventy-five. Call me tomorrow if you're still alive!"
Most of his standup is hysterical. But this show looked like a tacky Vegas cabaret. It was so cheesy. And when he sang and talked politics i wanted to purge. He is very anti gay. He is also pro BUSH. My skin was crawling and I was so offended by his show. Also his singing. DREADFUL. He made Harvey sound like one of the three tenors. The man should stick to comedy. No singing please.
Maybe I should keep my lips zipped as nothing as of yet has brought about a war but I was just wondering if my friend 'StateofJade' over there *in the corner hiding* said his answer for a rise from fellow posters ....we shall see...
Wonderful Town drove me nuts. Also, I greatly disliked The Producers the 2nd time around. (I was sick, and Gary Beach was out...AHH! He was who I loved the most in it.)
I really doubt they're that immature raggy q. We're here to put what we think is our worst show we've seen. Not come here and make comments to get people angry.
For me it's a tossup between "Mamma Mia" and "The Lion King." Actually, "Mamma Mia" wins, because I did enjoy parts of "The Lion King"; the opening number and Scar's scenes (all thanks to Patrick Page). Plus, it's a pretty show (great sets, costumes, puppets). "Mamma Mia" didn't even have *that* going for it.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell
