I thought people were saying she doesnt fly during Defying Gravity? Am I behind on info here? Thanks for the info. Also the Dillamond head looks different. It must be hard to reamke perfectly. Updated On: 4/13/05 at 05:34 PM
Just noticed: I just looked at the shot from the OBC photo shoot where Elphaba is flying during "Defying Gravity." The lighting is much different from the tour version... In the OBC shot, the lighting is mostly green with a little fog at the floor. In the tour shot, the lighting is very purple with a lot of fog everywhere. Does the lighting change during the song, or is this different for the tour? I like the purple lighting and extra smog... for some reason, it makes it look like Elphaba is flying higher.
Glinda's little cream-white dress looks really strange, like it doesn't fit. The set doesn't look as detailed as the Broadway version. Too bad.
The Broadway version of "Defying Gravity" doesn't really have much green in it. It's mostly blue like the tour. The lighting was changed when they did the Tony broadcast, as the last cue of that is the green sillouette.
Is it on the official Wicked site? I can't find it.

I'm so excited to see the show in LA, nonetheless. I kind of expected it to not be as good as the OBC effects and set wise but thats usually the case with moving tours since they aren't sticking with one stage for a long time etc. But the cast sounds amazing so I can't wait to see the show nonetheless.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

The stage manager told me that the costume designer redesigned all the costumes for the tour *and the Chicago sit down* they are all the same with improvements or changes.they did the same with the sets and blocking and such...She also said that *minus the costume things* NY would be adapting these changes as well since it usually is better for the show.
and all that I could do because of you was talk of love...
Is anyone else upset that there are no photos of the fabulous David Garrison as the Wizard? I really wanted to see what he looked like in costume...
Also, for anyone who has seen the tour...does the Wizard still bow right before the two witches? Or have they changed this to reflect that the "star" is playing Madame Morrible?
I know that Jenna is the Elphaba UNDERSTUDY, but I wish I could see what she looked like in the Elphaba makeup/costume. There have to be some pics floating around somewhere, no???
where on the site are the pictures?...nm my computer just wasn't loading it
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space
