I know it's far off, but I think it would be interesting to see what others come up with. It sure will be difficult replacing such a talent.
If they wanted someone with similar fame, I was thinking about Greyson Chance, but I'm not sure his voice could withstand the score. I was also thinking of A.J. Holmes since he's a similar style Cunningham to that of Ben. I also read a Chris McCarrel suggestion and I can't decide if it's genius or rubbish.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

I used to be obsessed with Greyson when I was in middle school around 6 years ago . He said in a interview when he was younger that he'd love to do theater but I'm not sure if that's still the case. He had a lot of vocal problems when going through puberty which was one of the reasons why Interscope records dropped him but his voice does sounds great now. I've only song I've heard from DEH was "Waving Through A Window" so I can't judge just from that.
What about Ben Cook? He's actually in his late teens (so very passable for high school) and just understudied Jesse Tuck in Tuck Everlasting and played Race in Newsies on tour (and the filmed version).
I'll vote for either Neil Patrick Harris, Patti LuPone or Carol Channing.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

"I know he is in his 20s but he played young in Golden Boy and War Horse
War Horse opened 6 years ago, and I don't doubt that he can play a range of ages younger and older than his actual age, just not a high school senior (although of course I could be wrong).
I heard they're going to draw some eyes and a mouth on a basketball and just play the soundtrack.
"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe."
