Augh, I hate these posts-but I'm just curious. I just got my 3rd row tickets to Avenue Q and DRS (AHHH!) and my Avenue Q are the last ones on the row. Does the Golden theater have partial view? Last time I saw it, I was in the rear mezz...dead center. Heh. Those were good view-wise. It didn't look like there was really a "partial view" when I just glanced at the orchestra seats. My tickets for DRS are like..3 seats off the aisle. I don't think those will be awful. I'm also looking into other shows to book. What are some theaters to be careful about when it comes to their partial view seats?

What's really awful is when a full-price ticket turns out to be partial view. This happens a lot with seats on the far left or right. I got to see Chicago behind a bunch of speakers, for example. That was fun. re: Which theaters have *AWFUL* partial view seats?

I just bought Chicago tickets today as well...I got ones that are *on the aisle*. I think I was the first to buy tickets to that performance. Those won't be bad will they? 101-102? Hopefully there are no speakers to be found there...

movin out rush is horrible! They are front row and you cant see below the knee of the dancers....no point in seeing that show if you cant see their feet!

Anyone think the Gershwin has a pretty bad partial view? I had partial view when I saw it and was kinda dissappointed...although it was VERY cool being THAT close to the actors. Cannot wait for The Money Song in Avenue Q! re: Which theaters have *AWFUL* partial view seats?

I remember going to the last preview perf for "The Producers" (and being thrilled to get a ticket). My seat actually wasn't that bad - first row, seat on the aisle on the left. But there was this absolutely MISERABLE young couple in NY on their honeymoon who had never been to a Broadway show before. Those producing monsters charged those kids full price to sit in the two seats to my left (against the wall) and I'd be surprised if they saw even half the show. The $200+ bucks they paid for those seats took a big chunk out of their vacation budget too.

You forgot the speakers at the front of the stage, triplethreat. Being deafened is always a big plus when going to a show, isn't it?

Plum, I know what you mean! Full price to sit behind a HUGE stack of speakers at Rent in the Warner Theater. It blocked the band and the platform, so basically I couldn't see the entire Life Support Meeting.

I saw Wicked from the 2nd row in a partial view, half off seat. It was fine. Missed a lot of the back set, but I sat 2 rows back, in a full price seat, the first time I saw Wicked, and I could only see part of the back of the set. I can't believe I just wrote in print that I saw Wicked twice. No, I'm not 15. Anyways, point is, the half price seat was just as good as the full price seat.

What's wrong with...

<---15 year olds?

Not being able to see the back of the set really takes away from the show in my opinion.

I sat second row ORchestra all the way on the right...for Avenue Q.

Loved it. A few times an actor blocks you - but it's awesome. And it's great to be so close to the puppets.

triplethreat- There's rush for Movin' Out? That's news to me... I thought it was one of the only shows without a rush policy... Do you know something that I don't? re: Which theaters have *AWFUL* partial view seats? If you do, please share.

It was not intended to offend. I like 15 year olds, I just didn't like being one. It SUCKED to be me in high school, and I'm glad I'm mature, happy, and much wiser. Being called a "faggot" every day wasn't so much fun.

Anyways I didn't mean to offend you. re: Which theaters have *AWFUL* partial view seats?
