The Nederlander. I can still feel the magic every time I walk by. I'm a recovering Rent-addict but there's just something about that place that gives me goosebumps.
If you limit your choices to what seems possible or reasonable, you disconnect yourself from what you truly want, and all that is left is a compromise."- Robert Fritz
ummm, jon? springtime for hitler was never performed @ the shubert, but @ the st james....and mominator...the belasco is haunted, but the ghosts are friendly...
I'm sorry, but the musical SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER ("A Gay Romp with Adolph and Eva at Berchtesgarten") was performed in the early 1960's at the Shubert, along with PRISONERS OF LOVE, FUNNY BOY, and other Max Bialistock productions. All these events are documented in THE PRODUCERS, which is playing at the St. James.
umm, jon, don't be sorry, but just cause a broadway show tells you something happened, taint necessarily so.I'm pretty sure that max bialystock never existed,so "funnyboy" probably doesn't either. The Shubert was just a great facade to use,as they used the cort theatre in the movie.Lastly,The Producers is not a documentery...hey waitaminute-you pulling my leg?
