I've seen alot of debate about this on here.. Does anyone know for sure when Sutton Foster is Scheduled to leave the Drowsy Chaperone? It's looking like I'll see the show the last weekend in April. What are my chances of still having Sutton and Bob? Updated On: 1/24/07 at 01:03 AM
I've been looking for an answer to this and can't seem to find it. I plan on going on 3/21 and the person I am going with really wants to see her in it. Also, if she is still there does anyone know if she is doing Wed. matinees? I read in another thread that she wasn't due to a sore arm but that was about a month or so ago. Thanks!

As someone who has bumped a thread similar to this one in the past couple of weeks, let me just say that you're not going to get a clear answer on this one. Mainly because I don't think one exists. No definitive date has been announced, so I would recommend not counting on seeing Sutton. If you or your friend only want to see the show to see her, go see something else. There's always a chance for an understudy anyway.
Thanks! I would want to see it with or without her as I just want to see the show, but I'm not sure about my friend. I guess we'll just take our chances.

I was in the same boat as you. I want to see the show regardless, but the friend I am travelling with only wants to see Sutton. In the end, I bought the tickets anyway because I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to see the show.
She is going to be opening in Young Frankenstein this fall. I am not sure if they start rehearsals after Producers closes, but if they do she might leave sometime in April...this is just a guess.

Thanks! I heard the YF rehearsals are starting in June and I figured she would probably take a little time in between the two shows....I'll chance it and see what happens.

A friend of mine spoke to Sutton at the stage door two weeks ago. She said that she is currently contracted through the first week of April but has been asked by the producers to extend her contract a few weeks.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
