I have seen Urinetown already, and was thinking of taking a friend...and something called "Stool seats" keep coming up as available...can anybody tell me where these seats are, and if they are comfortable and worth getting? Thanks!
You could always rush for tickets- we stood out for a couple hours and got the last row of the orchestra. Not bad seats they were $25. If you don't want the stool seats- i'm not sure where they are. Sorry
The $25 orchestra rush seats are vastly better than the $35 balcony stools. Though you can see and hear everything upstairs, it's just a little too removed to see some of the actors' facial expressions and interplay. You have to work a little harder for those orchestra rush seats, but it's worth it.
Just make sure you get the side seats- we rushed and sat right next to the sound booth (whatever it's called). And there were a couple part we couldn't see- but at internmission we moved and could see it all. Good luck. We got there at 8:30-9:00 to get tickets and we were the first people there- but it was pouring down rain so that might have had something to do with it.
They're OK, but yes, you cannot see the expressions on their faces. It's best to just pay a bit more and get better seats to be honest. They are comfortable and if you get front row you can put your feet up! They are also movable so you can move however you like.
