Hi there...
I'm from germany and a big fan of musical theatre, so I'd love to watch the Tonys. Problem: I can't recieve CBS, which makes this quite complicated.
Therefore my question: is there any possibility to watch this online? Do they have a live stream or something? And if not, could I get videos of it afterwards?
Thanks for answering...

As far as I know they do not have it online, but they will announce the nominations on May 16 online.
I dont know if you can get it on video or not, I do know that on the tony web site they have video clips from past tonys.

Ahh, I first read that as "I'm from Gramercy"...I'm like huh? -- double take.

I'm pretty sure the Tonys will be broadcast online. Check out TonyAwards.com for details.

They only have the Red Carpet and the The Pre-telecast Show on Live Webcast.

It's Broadway's Night of Nights!

On Sunday, June 11, 2006, the entire Broadway community turns its attention to New York City's Radio City Music Hall for the American Theatre Wing's 60th annual Tony Awards ceremony.

The day begins with an early dress rehearsal at Radio City. Some performers then head back to their theatres for afternoon matinees.

And then comes the main event. Here's a schedule for the festivities that get underway later in the day. All hours are Eastern Daylight Time unless otherwise noted.

The Rundown

Red Carpet
6:30 - 7:45 p.m.
Get in on the glamour as nominees, presenters, and other celebrities arrive at Radio City. Watch the official live Red Carpet coverage here at TonyAwards.com, or on NY 1 News in New York City.

The Pre-telecast Show - Live Webcast
7:15 - 8:00 p.m.
It's the ultimate insider experience! The first part of the awards ceremony takes place on stage at Radio City during the 45 minutes before the telecast begins. The only way to see the live presentation of those awards is to watch our live webcast here at TonyAwards.com.

The 60th Annual Tony Awards
Telecast on CBS
8:00 - 11:00 p.m.
The stars, the awards, the speeches, the musical numbers from nominated musicals. It's what you've been waiting for all year.

The Aftermath
In the hours following the Tony ceremony, we'll post photos from the performances, the press room, and the post-show gala, as well as video clips of interviews with the winners.

For West Coast Viewers
The Tony telecast will be recorded for prime-time broadcast on the West Coast at 8:00 p.m. PT. However, for the benefit of those fans across the globe who do not have access to the broadcast, our website coverage of the Tony Awards is live. We will post the winners' names as they are announced, beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT. So if you prefer to remain in suspense until you watch the telecast, we suggest that you log on for our live Tony red carpet and pre-show coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. Then close your browser and come back after the telecast is over, at which point you can watch video clips of backstage interviews with the winners and presenters.

Thank you...
Better than nothing, though I really hoped to see some of the performances, which are definitly more interesting than the usual "I'm so exited to be here" and "Yes, in the cast we're all like best friends, you know?" stuff you get to here in those after-show-videos...
I don't understand why they don't have clips of the performances online - not even clips you have to pay for. I would pay. But it seems as if they're not interested in my money... re: Tonys online?
