If Neil Patrick Harris doesn't end up up coming back this year... Kristin Chenoweth? James Corden? Alan Cumming? Tony Danza? Jesse Tyler Ferguson? Matthew Morrison? Jim Parsons? David Hyde Pierce?
I think Cordon will be a tad busy trying to get his new show off the ground. Doubt CBS would let him take the time off right after the new show starts.
If he is still trying to get his new show off the ground in June, he will be in mega trouble. My guess is that the new show will be in desperate need of as much exposure as it can get, and the Tonys fits the bill. It's not the network "letting" him take time off: it would be CBS engineering the move to see if it can pump some life into a time slot that most folks think is going to be in serious trouble by then.
Oy Vey is correct! and PLEASE NO TONY DANZA!!!! I like the Alan Cumming idea but he is not as big as previous hosts, but seriously I would love to see Whoopi again!
I think the logical choice would be Stephen Colbert, because he loves musical theater and Broadway and it would be a great way to build up excitement for his new show.
In our millions, in our billions, we are most powerful when we stand together. TW4C unwaveringly joins the worldwide masses, for we know our liberation is inseparably bound.

Well, Hugh Jackman is likely out for a couple of reasons: his filming schedule, plus his vocal rest following a vocal chord hemorrhage. Colbert is a quick-witted, fun personality steeped in Broadway lore, so I agree he'd be a great choice; Corden second choice. Loved him in ONE MAN TWO GUV'NORS.
