mtf3, you have to understand that this was made in the development stage where Johnny hadn't found out what made Rent click, it isn't scary, it's unpolished.
Different characters are singing different parts. There are sections that weren't in thee before, the words are slightly different, the arrangement is quite odd, it is NOT the same.
I wasn't being erratic i anyway, I was giving my opinion. If the bold letters came across as yelling, I am sorry, I just meant to put emphasis on the word not.
All of those were AMAZING, but especially Week 3! They're all great! However, for someone who claims not to be a strong dancer, LOOK AT THAT AMAZING DANCING THAT SHE DID in Week 4! Thanks for reminding me how great Emma is!
After listening to several workshop songs, seems like the music is largely the same (although there are some occasional differences) but the lyrics are where the major difference is. They were much cornier/campier/80s-ish. It's also interesting to see a different ordering of the songs. Also, what's going on with Roger? Glad Pascal came in; this guy sounds the opposite of what I'd imagine an ex-heroine addict punk rocker with HIV to sound like. >< Updated On: 10/29/08 at 12:20 AM
Trust me, that's nothing compared to the earlier stuff. There were gems such as "Swordfish Marinara" and "Wine's Whine." Very little from the original Aronson scripts remain. The show was overhauled several times, and there are *boxes* of brainstorming notes that never made it into any script (some for the best, some for the worst).
