The "Titanic" reunion concert was one of the 2-3 most thrilling nights I've had in the NY theater in the last 30 years. I sat in cheaper seats, but it was fine. Anyone doubting whether it's worth it without dropping a lot of coin should aim for the lower priced seats. It's still a wonderful experience, and the sound is glorious.

He's performed the Neville Craven part in "Lily's Eyes" before (in 2006) and was great so I'm sure this wouldn't be too much of a stretch. I can dream.
This is the first time I remember 2 performances instead of one. I really hope they record this one...it was a shame there is nothing for Ragtime in 2014.
Ummm. I love Sydney .... And I love Secret Garden.
But .... She seems too old to me- by like 3 years. I saw Fun Home in her last week and she reads as a 13 year old. Mary is not supposed to be a preteen or tween, she's a small child.
Good for Miss Lucas! I was really hoping she could have been Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting but this will do for now! Wonder who else they'll get for the cast.

"I would agree with you if this was a for a regular fully realized production... but for a concert version, I think her age would not be of the same issue.
I also know it's common to hire "children" that are older in real life than they are supposed to be. It's not my favorite practice but it is what it is. There was an earlier thread on the board about a 26 year old playing 14 year old Anne Frank. And that seemed to work fine. And this is not nearly such a stretch.

Margaret O'Brien was 12. Gennie James was 11 in the Hallmark movie. Daisy Eagan was 12. I think it'll be fine. I also saw Fun Home recently and while she's very well-spoken and professional off stage I think she can still read as 8-12 on stage.

And this is a concert and she's a beloved Tony nominee. I think we can work this out.

Amazing how often simple ticket sales get botched. Can't get through on phone lines as you simply get a busy signal and still no web access at almost 11 a.m. Total cluster.
I was able to get my tickets online, but the website was very testy and the SECRET20 discount code didn't work. I kept trying but then didn't want to wait much longer and watch all of the inexpensive tickets disappear.

I just did the same thing, and bought a seat in the cheapest nosebleed section (it's a concert right? I'll just listen). I was on hold for 20 minutes then was disconnected and it took another 15 minutes to get back into the queue when the website sorta worked for a few minutes. Now it's partially down for me again - Quick Hit seems to work (discount not applied) but not Classic Checkout.
