Kristen Bell (of "Veronica Mars" fame) recently visited the show. With Laura Bell Bundy going around town saying she's with the show through February, I wouldn't be surprised if they turned to someone like Bell (who is up for a role on "Lost" at the moment) to replace her.
Wasn't Nick Lachey (whose success could be classified as TV-based after that reality show of his) also recently rumored to be joining the show as Warner?
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I've been worried what they were going to do replacement-wise when Laura Bell leaves, but to be honest Kristin Bell seems like a very smart choice, she's incredibly talented and I'm glad to see they're leaving the show in capable hands.
“I’ve got a chip on my shoulder, and though I’m much older than the guy I am playing still the tickets will sell. I got voted off idol And was feeling suicidal So, with this chip on my shoulder. I’m gonna make Broadway your hell…”
Amanda Bynes... You have got to be kidding me. I love her, and I thought she was a decent singer in Hairspray, but could she handle eight shows a week? Acting wise she would be great, but yeah, I hope that was a joke.
"Zac is sweet as can be. He's very much just a sweet kid from California who happens to have a face that looks like it was drawn by Michelangelo, (if Michelangelo did anime)." -Adam Shankman.
"I haven't left this building since Windows 3.1!"
"Celebrating a birthday this week: Rene Descartes is 412! Do you know who he is? Then why are you watching this show? You could probably get into college and even get one of those job things. As for the rest of us; Amanda Bynes is 22! Yay!" -E!'s "The Soup"
Kaely "bland" Cuoco would be...well...come to think of it she'd be as bland as Bundy. Isn't Warner a rather small role for Nick Lachey? He's perfect for the role but still... Hope Bell gets the role in LOST, she'd be a nice addition to an already strong cast.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
nick lachey has been auditioning for the past few months, they really woud like to bring him in to boost sales. he IS living in nyc now which make sit easy.
An update about Bell and "Lost": she officially turned down the role of 'Charlotte' this week, citing that she didn't want to relocate to Hawaii.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
Haha, I'd definitely go for Kendra! :P She may not be able to sing, but who cares, shes hot.
Anyways, in all seriousness, that's actually cool they're going to stunt cast this show- I don't know, but I think it will need a box office boost fairly soon. But hopefully they find someone good...
Kristen sounds like a good choice to me. There is a great video of her singing "Fame" on YouTube Her voice isnt outstanding, but she can carry a tune well...
