come on BroadwayGirl, don't you know it's illegal in some states to like both Kristin and Idina?
Idina: Somehow I got myself to the stage, came out at the end of the show, and I had some kind of closure.
Some guy: You looked great!
Idina: Thanks...I WAS SO HIGH!

Funny, I used to think she was latina in some early pictures I saw of her. See?
Anyway, Love4Cheno, no that Zipper Concert was not her best night. But your claim that she was off-key more than on is a bit silly. Besides, you said yourself her voice is just not your thing. If only other people would admit that instead of calling her a no talent. *sigh*
Idina would kill in that role. I say give it to her. Id actually wanna see this show if she were in it. Madonna would suck in the role. This show has to have someone w/ really good stage presence, I.E. Idina.
I really don't think Idina's voice would sound right in this role...
Don't shoot, but I vote Madonna. Despite her inability to handle every note on the movie soundtrack, I find her much more listenable and even enjoyable than Idina.
My vote goes to Idina. She really could capture the emotion and feel of the role better than anyone I can think of right now.
Power to Idina.
And you think of all of the things you've seen, and you wish that you could live in between ,and you're back again only different than before...
After the Sky.

I like Idina's voice . . . but not for this. The thing I like about Idina's voice (and which many BW fans do not like) is that it has an edge. It is not 100% clean. (If that makes any sense). I love her live stuff, and her concerts. I would rather see her to a 1 woman show than Evita . . . I just don't see her being a good Evita. Too much of a rock/bluesy edge for the role. As for Madonna, I thought she did OK in the Movie, but I don't really see her doing this live 8 shows a week. The Madonna slant seems more like a PR stunt than anything legit at this point.
