OK so I have a song, "We Beseech Thee" from Godspell, but I want a different one. I am 17 years old and A tenor. Any suggestion that you think would be good for a Millie Audition.

Maybe use a song from a musical with a similar feel. Like "No No Nanette", or the "Boyfriend". There are books available called "Songs for Tenors" which you might try seeing. Good luck!
Ya i am looking through my Musical theater anthology for tenors volume four right now but I am not really feeling any of them right now. I also have the definitive Broadway collection 2nd edition. Anymore suggestions

His songs, especially "What Do I Need With Love?", are really jazzy, so try singing a non-musical theatre song. Sing a Michael Buble song (his version of "Can't Buy Me Love" comes most prominently to mind.) Just make sure you put character into it.
Uptempo "Ya Gotta Look Out for Yourself" from City of Angels
Ballad "Stay With Me" from City of Angels
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
"I got your number" from Little Me Delovely from Anything Goes
Fear no more the heat o' the sun,
Nor the furious winter's rages;
Thou thy worldly task hast done,
Home art gone and ta'en thy wages:
Golden lads and girls all must,
As chimney-sweepers, come to dust.
~Cymbeline
I would stay away from the more modern material. You are better off with the more uptempo Gershwin or something old school, but with a lot of bounce in it. Jimmy is cool and loose so keep it that way.

I think I am going to go with "It's De-lovely" id that is okay with everyone. It is giving me a good feel. I know I wont get Jimmy I am only 5'6 so hey. Its not going to hurt trying. And I think I have a strong voice. I always get stuck with the Big show stopper in act 2. Lol I am up for a little change though

And one more piece of advice... don't ever type yourself out of ANYTHING. Let the creative team make those choices. I'm not saying that as a 5'6" tenor you should go in for Jud in Oklahoma, but go for things that stretch you and that you enjoy and just focus on giving your best audition and let them handle the rest. Great auditions will find you work in the most unexpected places.

I know i don't usually put myself down like that. Hahaha, but lately I have found what is true is true and I will never be the 6' tall leading man. But I love playing that characters I play, I have played Jeffrey from godspell, Marcellus from music man and Herman from sweet Charity. So I really dont care. I just want to be performing. Thank you also Brian for that great advice.
