"Not rude as it is a little shocking: When I saw The Band's Visit on Feb. 4th, Joel Grey was there. THE Joel Grey. Who was also turned away from the stage door cause he, presumably, wasn't on the list. THE Joel Grey. TURNED AWAY. Yes, I know, security and what all, but he's a Broadway legend.

Wow, that is sad. Give Mr. Grey credit he did not pull the "do you know who I am" card. This reminds me of a story years ago when Paul McCartney was turned away from a particular post Grammy party because he was not on the list.

I appreciate all the stage door security who let the crowds know when no one else is coming out; I'm sure if benefits them too so they can get home!

I did see one negative thing with the personnel- at the Comet's stage door, two Asian women were waiting with that seemed like a gift for one of the actors.  One of the SD guys was talking to them and asked them something like, "Are you sure you're at the right theater? Because I thought you'd be waiting at Miss Saigon."  A woman next to them slowly shook her head and exclaimed, "Wowwww."  Not cool.

How did they respond? I definitely would not have been able to keep my cool in their shoes.

I would've slapped him.
