"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Jessica Hecht is indeed very versatile, but I think you might more easily see her as one of Violet's daughters - Ivy would be my suggestion - and not her husband, Beverly, in August: Osage.

Has Huppert played Callas in MASTER CLASS? Or was that Fanny Ardent? I think she'd be captivating.

Rebecca Luker

Ardant played Callas in Paris with Polanski directing; I like the idea of Huppert in Master Class too.

I would really love to see Rebecca Luker as Adriana in a fully staged Boys from Syracuse, but of course she already scored in that role at Encores, so that's cheating.

So I'll say Margaret in Light in the PIazza . although I'd love to see what she would do with Victor/Victoria too.

Lin-Manuel Miranda?

I've always pictured Kerry Butler as Mrs. Johnstone in BLOOD BROTHERS. It would be a welcome change to see her not playing a teenager, and also fun since she was in the original Broadway company.

Jane Krakowski?
