^ That is not true. The London producers had the rights to a revival the entire time. They were planning on transferring with Natasha and Vanessa. There's an article out there stating that Nunn wanted to work with them. I'm too lazy to find it right now. A Riedel column did hint to Natasha and Vanessa doing the Nunn revival.
We had talked about our determination to work together again. There was a possibility that Natasha would play Desiree in the New York presentation of my production of Sondheim’s A Little Night Music, with the further possibility that Vanessa would play Mme Armfeldt, Desiree’s mother. Daughter and mother playing daughter and mother. What an extraordinary further stage of their story that could have been.
Does anyone think Sondheim will change the "she twitters" lyric in "You Must Meet My Wife" since twitter means something completely different these days?
