Anyone but Matthew Broderick - Recently he has only been good if he's playing a nerd, any attempt at playing the leading man hasn't worked. He sucked in the Music Man, and in Stepford Wives you kept asking, why would the Nicole Kidman character marry him.

I think Roger Bart would be great as Frederick.

I agree. I never thought of Roger, but that is a great choice.

I think Matthew Broderick has a lot of the same qualities as Gene Wilder. I think he would do a good job as Frankenstein.

I don't know. Something about Broderick erks me and I have no clue what it is. It might be because he always looks like he sniffed or puffed something.

What about Shuler Hensley as the monster? Can he do comedy? I know he played the monster in Frankenstein the Musical and in Van Helsing. He better look out or he is gonna be type cast as Frankenstein's monster for the rest of his career. lol

Broderick is all wrong! Mel needs to not play favorites.

Martin Short................Dr. Frankenstein (Wilder)
Martin is the only person that can do this role. He has a beautifully stable voice, he takes risks, and he is as crazy as you can be. He is a Tony Award winner, and a big enough name to open the show. This should be his chance to show people what he can really do. He's the only person that can do justice to this role, especially after the movie's creator Gene Wilder, who could never truly be replaced.

Jennifer Laura Thompson.....Elizabeth (kahn)
She opened URINETOWN, FOOTLOOSE, and is our next Glinda in the mediocre Broadway production of WICKED, and she is going to be wonderful! She is youthful and beautiful with an amazing and developed voice, and not a far cry from the irreplaceable Madeline Kahn.

Nancy Opel..................Frau Blucher (Leachman)
Her voice. Her Comic timing. Need I say more? This could make her into the star she needs to be.

I have no Idea...........Inga (Garr)
I would love to see a newcomer in this role. If not, bust out Cady Huffman. Sure, it is very similar to the Ulla character, but who cares! BROADWAY NEEDS CADY!

ME!.........................Igor (Feldman)
I grew up on the film, and think it is great that it is going to be a musical. Someone told me once that they think it's not a good idea because its such a perfect movie... why mess with it? I say: They aren't touching the movie! It will be around forever! This is something completely different! Enjoy it! So Mr. Brooks, my lord (haha jk), please cast these people! It's the perfect cast!...and NO TRACE OF CHENO!!! (Just like in most performances of WICKED)!
