okay so I don't know if this is just a rumor or a true project in the works. some of my good friends within the industry were saying that mean girls is highly being considered for a Broadway musical adaptation?
I can see happiness and grief with this. yes, movies into musicals are getting a bit excessive, but I personally love this movie and am intrigued to see what would happen.
also, they briefly mentioned the devil wears prada as another movie. true or false?

and it just so happens I do paint them green. Well, if anyone should ask me why, I say: 'I think it's pretty!'"
I personally love Mean Girls, and I think in the right hands it could be great a la Legally Blonde, only a little bit dirtier if you please. I think Clueless would be great too, or Heathers.
I love Mean Girls and I agree, in the right hands it could be great. I could see Cady as a sweet, innocent soprano(in the beginning anyway) and Regina as a loud, brassy belter.
I have a secret wish that there will someday be a musical adaption of Heathers. I don't know why, but I think that movie has a lot more potential then Mean Girls.

I love this movie and would love to see it musicalized. The only Lindsay Lohan movie worth seeing in my opinion. And by "Lindsay Lohan Movie" I mean a movie where she is the main character.
Rant, Wickud, Rant, Wickud, Rant! We're not gonna pay Rant! 'Cause everythink is Wickud!

lakezurich will be played by Paul Groves in the BWW musical
The only problem with a lot of movie musicals is that there is really no reason to sing sometimes. In musicals people sing because they need to express a larger emotion that way, it's another way of speaking. I see moe moments to sing about in Saved! and in Bedazzled, just because in Saved! there are people who feel REALLY strongly about certain things, and in Bedazzled you've got fantasy and lots of stuff that just really pops up as musical moments.
You could have Anneliese van der Pol as Cady. She could act like innocent, naive Chelsea (her character on That's So Raven) at the beginning, and then when she turns into a plastic she could be a Bratz doll. And I agree that Ana could still play Cady's mom, but they'd have to give her more stage time. I love the idea for Cheno as Regina's mom!
