How did I not know she was doing the play!!! I saw the poster for it and I'm like "wAAAAAAAAAAAIT! I never knew this!! I LOVE HER HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS!"
Is she as good as I'm sure she is?
"It's a great feeling of power to be naked in front of people. We're happy to watch actual incredible graphic violence and gore, but as soon as somebody's naked it seems like the public goes a bit bananas about the whole thing."
Really? That's okay, I love her anyway, she was good in everything else. Is Menagerie still playing? I have almost no knowledge of Broadway plays...

Scratch that, I won't be seeing the show. Plays do stage doors though right?

A friend of mine saw the show last week and loved it...and he had heard all the negative hype..from me...so if you're a fan, go see it. It's a different interpretation, but that's what theatre is...try new things.
Jessica Lange is an incredible actress, but Amanda Wingfield is just not the right role for her. She seems very lost in the part, and only really registers any kind of emotional intensity towards the end of the show (particularly, the last scene). The show closes a week from tomorrow, so if you want to see it, get there fast.
When I'm a legend do I get to start using words like "ass"? Why couldn't I be a lurker? Do you really thing normal people just stumble upon this board?
But, going back to Rath's first comment to me, it would seem that on day one you must be pleasant, but after that you can start being catty and snarky?
I actually liked Lange well enough as Amanda. I've seen better Amandas, but I thought her choices were all valid. I just thought that the overall production was misconceived and misdirected (and mostly miscast).
Lange's a great actress, though, so if you're a fan, it's worth seeing her on stage.

You're calling me Rath already. Like we've "spoken" before. And there have been many instances lately of Multiple Identity Syndrome. If I'm wrong, I apologize, but I'm a bit cynical these days.
Have I ever shown you my Shattered Dreams box? It's in my Disappointment Closet. - Marge Simpson
I'm very sorry. I didn't realize that on message boards you should type out someone's full name until an appropriate time has passed. (I don't mean that to sound snarky.)
I'm sorry if I've caused any trouble to PJ, Rathnait62, et al. Seriously.
Yeah I don't think I'll be able to see the show. I'll try stage dooring it, it would be amazing to meet her!
p.s. Ah, I didn't realize PJ meant that in a starky way. I know what a stage door is thank you, I just wasn't sure if they did that with plays, again, I don't know much about Broadway plays. But I obviously missed PJ's sarcasm there my bad.
