She was a semi-somebody 25 years ago who is currently having a personal renaissance because of YouTube.
I don't think it will work.

Honestly, with the current state of Off-Broadway, I don't even think an Off-Broadway show starring (enter name of popular mainstream celebrity) would survive nowadays.
