Haha, yes, I just looked back through the thread. I think theatre has been her passion for years (she actually graduated a year early from high school to get a head start on pursuing roles), so I'm glad to see that she's getting some support.
I finally saw Hairspray for the first time on the 9th... I don't know why it took me so long to get to this show! I absolutely loved it. Shannon was hilarious as Tracey. She looked like she was having a lot of fun. John was also very funny as Edna. He had the guy playing Wilbur cracking up mulitple times during "You're timeless to me". John was even cracking up. It was great. Tracy Miller was awesome as Penny. She had me cracking up throughout the whole show.
Overall, it was a great show and I am going to see this many more times.
I dunno if I posted somewhere else in this thread, but I fortunately saw this show 4 times in Boston...at $25 for a student rush ticket you can't go wrong...although I ended up spending at least $100...the show has TONS of energy...Keala Settle by far was the highlight of the show, but I also loved Caissie Levy's vocals especially during "Without Love." If you haven't seen this show yet, put it on your list of Must-See Shows!
