Must spread the Hairspray love!! Such a great, energetic musical. And I'm thrilled to report that I'm going to get to see the tour of Hairspray when it comes to LA next year! It shall be my first time! Here's hoping for a good cast by that time.
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

I can't remember where I first heard someone refer to music as crack for the ears, but that is how I refer to Hairspray. I am totally addicted it, sometimes listening to it more than a few times in a day, to the point where it has actually had to be taken away from me. Right now I haven't listened to it for awhile, but I think I'm due for a relapse.

How could you not LOVE "Hairspray"!!!???? Great music, story, acting, singing--heck, you all know what I mean!
Have seen lots of different actors in the roles. My favorites: Edna--Bruce Vilanch (yes better than Harvey!) Wilber--Todd Susman (though Stephen DeRosa is hilarious!) Tracy-Shannon Durig (sweetest Tracy) Link-Richard H. Blake (M Morrison was a better dancer, and Andrew Rannels is just too cute, but Richard IS Link Larkin!) Penny--Tracy Miller (fabulous!) Amber--Tracey Jai Edwards Seaweed--Chester Gregory (BEYOND INCREDIBLE!! I hate that he's leaving the show, but wish him luck. His new single is AWESOME too!) Motormouth--Mary Bond Davis (Darlene is great too, but not as great as Ms Davis in this role) Velma-Barbara Walsh Prudy Pingleton/Gym Teacher/Matron--Liz Larsen (she is the understudy, have seen her twice, and she is as good or better than Jackie Hoffman or Julie Halston, though all are VERY good!)
