Darlin' Donna Murphy has promised to fulfill the final two weeks of her contract.
As we have read here she has missed quite a number of performances lately...but she posted a note backstage to the cast and company as to the reasons why she was missing performances - and gave her commitment to return to the show for the next two weeks. The note didn't stay up very long.
So hopefully, we will all have a chance to again see this amazing performer in this wonderful (town) show.
"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Why didn't she just send out a mass email? It would be much more personal than a note. Dontcha think?

Ok - I know you guys are having fun with this - but I'd really like to see her do the role before she leaves - I think joeyjoe and I should try to get tickets. Has it been on tkts at all lately or will we have to pay full price? I just don't like the idea of seeing Brooke Shields in it at all. I found Donna's performance on the Tony's incredible, and just havent had the time or money to see the show yet - but now I feel that we probably should make the effort...thoughts?
"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!"

redhot, with all the joking I do about Donna the truth still is that seeing her in person is a treat for anyone and she is flawless in this show. You should try to catch her before she leaves. And if she said she'll definately be in the last two weeks, you know you'll be sure to at least see her when you go.

With weekly grosses in the 40s and 50s, it most certainly is on TKTS every day.
Donna is worth-seeing, although I'm not a particularly big fan of the show itself.

thanks friends. its interesting the passion people feel for certain performers..and the wide spectrum of feelings for those individuals. Its one of the things that makes this board so interesting.

I would definitely take the chance to see Donna in this role before she leaves. She is absolute perfection in this role...her acting is just amazing! Which is the reason why I've seen WT, with her, 61 times.

IssaMe, thank you for bringing us the very good news about Donna's note. I will certainly go and see her performance in WT before she leaves. I'm glad she is in better health and wish her well.

IssaMe... I would think if you knew (either from first hand experience or by someone "in the know" telling you) that Donna Murphy posted a note backstage, and the fact that it didn't stay up for long, that you would also know what the note said? Care to finish what you started? I'm sure many of us would like to know. Let me also say, if you haven't seen Donna in this show -- go see her! She's amazing.
