Posted: 7/17/04 at 7:58pmI really loved the Virginia Theatre...The decoration inside was beautiful and the seating was done quite well I thought... I loved being there because it was big but not horribly cavernous like the Gershwin or the Minskoff.

Posted: 7/17/04 at 8:19pmThe Circle in the Square is one of my favorites. No matter where I sat for Rocky Horror Show or Metamorphoses I had a great seat. I like the Imperial also for Broadway shows. For off-Broadway the Little Shubert (formerly housing Fame) is very very nice. Great sightlines and comfortable seats.
There are some people in the world who say that writing stories, or composing music or dancing sparkly dances is easy for them. Nothing interferes with their ability to create. While I celebrate their creative freedom, a little part of me just wants to punch those motherf*ckers in the teeth...[tos]

Posted: 7/17/04 at 9:06pmIn my opinion, the gershwin is way too big. In the mezzm it feels like you are very far from the action. The seats and leg room are nice though.

Posted: 7/17/04 at 9:30pmHas anyone been to the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA? It used to be a Shriner Movie Palace. It was later renovated and turned into a theatre. The ceiling is covered in stars. It really looks like you are in an outside amphitheatre in the middle east. Again with the Indian motifs. I love them.

Posted: 7/17/04 at 9:31pmUgh, I was so uncomfortable at the Marquis, thank god the guy next to me who was on the aisle left, I sat sideways the whole second act to stretch my legs a little. It was very cramped for me.

Yes, being tall has its perks. Not being able to fit into seats is not one of them.
A bit OT: I was flying overnight from Hartsfield International in Atlanta to London-Gatwick International in, well, London. Of course, my seat was in the middle of two girls who were quite gifted in the lower region. My butt may not be that big, but I need a little bit of room. On top of that, the pest in front of me felt the need to recline his seat. 10 hours of this, whilst I am trying my hardest to get some rest, not a good thing. It is most definitely the most uncomfortable thing I have ever been through in my life. London was nice though. Ooh! I'm gonna segue this back into the topic! London was very nice. I saw 5 musicals in 5 very different theatres. My favorite was the Apollo-Victoria, where I witnessed Bombay Dreams.
How was that for a mouthful.
