When I saw 'The Pirate Queen' on June 7th, Neil Patrick Harris was there visiting Marcus Chait. Fun SD night, let me tell ya. That's about all. Brenda Braxton was at a workshop I was at on Sunday (so my friends told me after she'd left) and besides the Broadway people at Birdland on Sunday night, I couldn't tell you if anyone was anywhere else when I've seen other shows, but seeing Doogie ... that was fun.
Martin Sheen and Chita Rivera were at last Friday's performance of Grey Gardens. Mr. Sheen waited outside at the stage door with the other fans and was very generous and funny. He was then escorted into the stage door to meet the cast. Ms. Rivera was quickly escorted into the theatre shortly after the show ended. When she left, she smiled and signed one autograph before quickly and gracefully leaving the scene. Mr. Sheen came back out with Christine Ebersole and did the "I am not worthy" bow to her, which was adorable, while she applauded him. Good times.
As I mentioned on another thread, I saw Stephen King and John Mellencamp (together) at Grey Gardens.
Others that I remember:
Richard Kind and Jay Johnson (together) at 110 in the Shade S. Epatha Merkerson at Pajama Game Peter Bogdanovich at Chicago Bernadette Peters at Reckless
ETA: Jay Johnson correction. Thanks MimiJudith. Updated On: 8/27/07 at 06:13 PM
This isn't so exciting, but at the 8/24 Chorus Line I saw Timothy Busfield (Studio 60, West Wing, Thirtysomething, Revenge of the Nerds) with his wife and son.
West End and UK Madonna and kids at We Will Rock You, and just her at Rent Robbie Williams a few weeks ago at We Will Rock You on the press night of the 1ST UK tour Jude Law and Bob Hoskins at Monkey- Journey To The West premiere in Manchester.
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
Last Saturday night, Hal Prince was at next to normal.
Kevin Bacon was there for the first act, but apparently was so harassed by idiots people at intermission he felt he had no choice but to leave.
Clarifying: I know he left because he and the person with him (not Kyra) were in the row in front of my family and they did not return. At the stage door, some guys near us said that he had left because people wouldn't leave him alone in the men's room.
