Newbie here! Just wondering if anyone knows if Christian will be participating in the MTV reality show? Also do we know how much longer he is going to be in LB? I thought it was strange that the girls sang with Andy Karl. I thought he was leaving his role?
Also isn't there a few more episodes left? it would make sense that the girls get to perform along side him and maybe even LBB in the last episode since they are the stars of the show...Just my thoughts
Namo i love u but we get it already....you don't like Madonna
Borle is not trying to distance himself from LEGALLY BLONDE, he has given a year and a half to the show and it got him a TONY nomination, much acclaim and lifted his status to Leading Man. Another oppertunity has come along and he is moving on. Also the reality show took time out of people's already busy schedules and some people chose to be involved and some not. And he has his Batman and comic collection to work on!
Curtainpulldowner, what exactly is your deal? You obviously want us to think you're involved in the production somehow, always have, yet your info is how can I put this, sketchy at best. Do you really think people that are *actually* involved with the show want their info posted on this board? Do you really think Borle wants his "Batman comic collection" mentioned here?
I am not an expert or best friends with Christian, but this info is harmless and what i hear. Christian has a great sense of humor about his collection and is always eager to discuss it. I'm not spilling any beans here. I do work in the business and on occasion I talk to people, that's my deal. I mean him no harm, one of the nicest guys around.
I definitely have to agree with you. I just read an interview with Christian last night where he was talking about his comic book collection. It's no big secret, and why should it be? Lots of people have interest in them. The same article mentioned they should make a Spiderman musical. He would make a GREAT Peter Parker! lol
I've only seen the film Brigadoon so I can't say how it compares to the show. And, to be honest, it's one of my least favorite Gene Kelly films.
I'll put spoiler space here though I'll attempt to not share any secrets. Just basic info.
The basic storyline is that in the 1940's a man and his friend are hunting in the Scottish Hills when they come across the enchanted town of Brigadoon. They go into the village and find everyone wearing period clothing and all the town records have dates that are in the 1800s. The town only appears for one day every 100 years which causes all sorts of situations between the "present" men and the "period" villagers.
I don't know what role Christian will be playing. In the film the men were played by Gene Kelly and Van Johnson. I'd imagine he'd be one of them though I could see him as one of the villagers who's getting married. Not a lead, I know, but I can just picture him in that role.

We must have different Gods. My God said "do to others what you would have them do to you". Your God seems to have said "My Way or the Highway".
Thank you for the plot. It does not seem like something that would spark my interest but I would be willing to go see it because Im a fan of Christian's work lol Getting back to the topic, I have a feeling that Christian is not going to be on the show (search for the next Elle Woods) if he has not been already but that is just my opinion. I would love to go see his last show so I hope they announce the date soon!
The concept is interesting but I think it was poorly executed. Brigadoon and An American in Paris are my two least favoite Kelly films. AAiP is a beautiful shot and danced film but he goes on a bit longer than it needs to.

Oh, he's in Brigadoon? Interesting. I'm still on the fence about the re-imagining, but I may give it a chance even though I really don't like the show. Even when I was performing in a production of it, I just found the material to be lackluster. Pretty melodies, though.
I must be alone, but I don't understand the hype about Christian Borle. I've seen him in both Spamalot and Legally Blonde, and have never found him to be charming in the least. I thought Andy Karl and Bryce Ryness both gave more capable performances as Emmett, and would have both deserved a Tony nomination in the role more than Christian did, especially Andy. He was unquestionably a better actor, and despite havin to fit his voice into a track clearly written for someone else, I thought he had a richness in his singing that was sorely lacking from Borle. Bryce, for me, also gave a much more interesting, nuanced, and moving performance.
And on a more personal note, I just find him to be one of the most repulsive looking people...he looks like a bug. And I agree that Peter Parker is a bit young for him.
He played "friend" in the reading/workshop. The book is being rewritten but that character has a lot of zingers, if they can get the character to sing and dance a bit more, which they did with the Movie, Borle could make it woek.
