I was wondering if there will be any added shows or any Friday matinees for the Spring break weeks coming up...
Such as the week of April 6th, since Easter is the next Saturday.
Thanks.

Nope. Shows would need to start selling additional performances way in advance. You would have known something by now. Spring Break is not a special schedule week for Broadway -- like Christmas or Thanksgiving weeks. Especially since Spring Breaks are observed by different schools at different times -- falling any time during Lent. Everyone's typical 8-show week schedules are still in place.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I was really hoping some shows would add a Friday mat.

The whole world doesnt' have Spring Break at the same time....it would make no sense.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
^ Exactly dramamama611. "Spring Break" actually started happening a couple of weeks ago and will continue through Easter Week. It's referred to as "rolling Spring Break" meaning that as some schools' break ends, another group's is beginning and so on. Shows would have to add in performances for a couple of months if they went by the logic of "it's spring break, let's add shows!"
That said...schedules may be CHANGED for the week of Easter, in which case consult the aforementioned playbill schedules. However, that in all likelihood would not be ADDED performances as moved around performances so that another regular time will be dark.
