Was anyone else annoyed by the treatment of Manoel, "Oh yeah, he's nominated too".
Oh well, they did a great job, and Michael Cerveris is beautiful.
If Percy Blakeney were in Les Mis....
Percy: Sink me! If it isn't Javvurt!
Javert: Zsah-vair, it's pronounced Zsah-vair.
Pecry: But it's spelled J-A-V-E-R-T Javvurt.
Javert: Repeat after me Zsah...Zsah....
Percy: Oh! Zsa-Zsa! Like the Gabor sister! Well I personally have always prefered Eva.
Javert: (Looks for gun)
I've never watch a full episode of Live w/ Regis & Kelly until today. And I never will again. 30 minutes of yip yap and 3 minutes of actual content. And Bryant Gumbel is such a pompous tool.
Sweeney Todd was great. Felt bad for Manoel because he's a Tony nominee and they only wanted to talk to Cerveris. Psst...fling with an actor/actress?

Totally agree. I catch snippits of R&K when I'm either up really early or really late. Watched last week when Jersey Boys performed. Today, though, was the first time I sat through the entire hour. Good lord. Despite a couple quirky jokes Kelly made, talk about freaking boring. And some of the worst interviews I've ever seen. What a waste of these actor's time. It seemed like Kelly could have given two ****s about what was going on. "Do you guys ever, like," (tee hee hee, I'm so quirky and cute,) "crack each other up on stage?" Give me a break. At least Bryant sounded like he knew what he was talking about. Dragging the entire cast out of bed this early for a lame excuse of a tribute to Broadway. That being said, I'll be sure to try and catch the rest of the performances this week.
So I haven't seen Sweeney and I really need to, but for someone who hasn't seen the show that was a pretty boring song. Couldn't they have done a better section? Johanna?
DF loves the little children, all the children of the world black and yellow, gay or straight, they are perfect in her light DF loves all the children of the world-Dame Fanadette
I understand this. But pick a number that translates better on television. If I just watched that number I wouldn't have any desire to see the show.

The problem was that LuPone was out so that limited their choice of what to perform. I agree, it wasn't a great selction to use if you want to generate interest. The Tale Of Sweeney Todd would have been much better with the coffin and the entrance. Ever have a fling with a broadway star
I liked the performance and thought it contributed to the suspense factor that they are promoting. The performance also highlighted the whole concept too.
An amazing performance of SWEENEY TODD I must say. I wish mark Jacoby had spoken and Patti had been there.

I've never heard much from Sweeney Todd, but that preformance makes me wanna run out and buy the current revival's cast recording. It was so beautiful. I loved it.
I hope he (Micheal) wins the Tony, but everyone is pulling for "Frankie Valli" (can't remember his name- sorry.)
""Johanna" doesn't highlight Tony nominee Michael Cerveris."
Considering the fact that Sweeney does most of the singing in that song, I'd say it is a good hilight of Michael Cerveris. It would've been cool to see the blood-bucket.
does anyone know if Regis and Kelly's website posts clips from the show? I missed this and I REALLY wanto to see it.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
