TheatreFan4, The projections were LOUSY AND CHEAP. I liked the concept they were going with, but it was WAY underfunded and didn't feel.. real. Cassie couldn't act to save her LIFE, but was decent as a singer. The cast was mainly... eh (excluding the scarecrow... who stole the show the night I saw it). The orchestrations sounded horrendous. There were no string instruments... and you could REALLY tell that the strings were as fake as hell. At most, I would give it a 5 out of 10. BATB better be a WHOLE lot better.
Nice Avatar, btw.

She was just horrible! I actually liked Scarecow, Tin Man, & Lion. I youtubed Peter Gosick (Tin Man) afterward & found a video of him doing 'Sweet Transvestite' in Rocky Horror. That was very interesting to watch...
I would rather them have the strings and other difficult to travel with parts prerecorded to go along with the live orchestra members just so I wouldn't have to hear a MIDI version of a pretty memorable score. That would seriously DESTROY this production for me if I hear a fake string section! FYI I'm a cellist so the string section is always a highlight.
I'm interested to see the entire set. Like most non-equ show it will probaly be mostly back drops. but I'm wondering if it will be different for every venue?
