yeah, outside of Barks looking too young, she & Simpson looked fantastic in those clips.

No, you are not allowed to film productions at the Bowl. It's still illegal as says so in the programs.
Do you think Diana Ross would let someone film her performing and then post it all over the Internet?

This has been contested there for years. There's nothing they an do about it. It is a state park. And yes I know all about the program warnings and signs. There was something written about it in Los Angeles magazine a few years back. I'll try to find it. And... It just so happens that the last two Diana Ross concerts at the Bowl are all over the net.
"Shine On Media was given permission to film some of the performances:"
No, they were not, so these are bootlegs.

I guess I kind of assumed they were given permission because they do press/media coverage on allot of their things. But yeah the fact that they're not "professionally" recorded. My bad. But the cast seemed great for a first performance at least from what the videos show. It'll be stronger by Sunday. After this, I'm sure they'll cast Samantha in the Broadway production at some point. But while she looks young, she pulls off the character, I think.
Just because they are posted on YouTube, doesn't make it right or legal.

I watched all of them, before they eventually get pulled. I thought Samantha Barks did a good job. My first impression of her was that she looked like a very young Eartha Kitt...exotic. She did well with the singing and the choreography. Ashlee Simpson should have used something to hold her hair down. She was o.k. Stephen Moyer was impressive. He managed to hold that note in "Both Reached For The Gun": "the....... gun" for a pretty good length of time. I don't know of there was a lyric change or he was nervous, but he didn't sing "...Let me hear it...and "a little louder." But all in all, he was good. Lucy Lawless looked good, reminded me of Betty Grable. She did struggle just a wee bit, but it was a decent job. Samantha Barks did a very good job. However, maybe she'd make a better "Roxie." All in all, a good performance from everyone.
"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)
"I am telling you honey ..... It is a state park. They have no legal leg to stand on."
And by you posting this only makes the problem worse.
Yes, they are allowed to film inside the park You can film the trees and rocks, and garden areas all you want, BUT NOT UNION THE PERFORMANCES.
"Personally I would love for all phones and cameras to be banned"
So would I. The poor ushers are running all over the place to keep asking people to stop filming. So lets not encourage it, okay?

Bootleg or not, I watched the "Velma Takes the Stand" and "Class" clips, and the Weisslers really need to get Samantha Barks and Lucy Lawless on Broadway soon.
TheatreDiva90016, no offense but have you attended a production at the bowl? Both nights I saw hairspray there had to be at least 100 cameras taking pictures and video (Flashes were going off everywhere) though out the show, and the ushers did nothing at all to stop it. why do you think there are sooo many clips out there?
