I saw PREPPIES at the Promenade. It was a pretty toothless satire. It did have a few nice songs . One , was the opening number "People Like Us" it had lyrics like....... People like us never need to be told savoir faire and a tan get you by........"Summertime " was another pretty song. But it wasn't much of a show. If you're looking for obscure musicals how about "One Night Stand" the Jule Styne musical that , I believe ,had one preview and closed.

Blood Brothers isn't unknown! It's one of the biggest shows on the West End (has been running 17 years) and the most successful britsh musical (although I think Billy Elliot will soon take over) and there have been productions of it world wide! definately not 'unknown'!

"good person of schezuan"

This is a quite famous Brecht play (first known as The Good Woman of...) that many people have adapted. It is more of a play with music.

Some of the musicals that I have, that many may not know about are: Grail, the musical; Temp Slave, the musical; Lunch, the studio cast recording with Carol Burnett, Davis Gaines, Mellissa Manchester, Faith Prince, Brian Stokes Mitchell and many more. I also have Golf, the musical;FreeWay Dreams (a L.A based musical); Gunmetal Blues; and Stepping Out, the musical. I collect rare musicals that people never hear of.

Evangeline. But its a local musical. It was written by one of my teacher's and was preformed at our city theater last year. Maybe one day people will know it =D

This is a really old website for it that hasn't been updated since 2000 I think.

Zombie Prom has a cult following. Little known yet known.

You want an unknown? Read my musical.

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

There was a musical version of PORTRAIT OF JENNIE that ran at The Henry Street Settlement in the early 1980's. It Starred a very talented actress named Donna Bullock. I don't even know if it's ever been published. I loved it and couldn't believe it never went anywhere. There was a also a musical entitled SHELTER that ran in 1972 by Gretchen Cryer and Nancy Ford. I thought it was terrific too and had a brief run on Broadway. It starred Marcia Rodd (who got a Tony nomination), Terry Kiser, Susan Browning and Joanna Merlin. I believe a CD was recorded years later with a new cast.

The Wicked joke wasn't funny the first time someone took a stab at it. Just saying.

"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
